Since its first annual convention in April 1896, held in Baltimore, the Maryland Bankers Association (MBA) has been serving the State's financial services community. At that meeting, the founding members elected Enoch Pratt, President of National Farmers and Planters Bank, to be their first Association president. Since that day, the Maryland Bankers Association has remained committed to the safety and soundness of the State's banking industry and the well being of the economy in which the industry operates.
